The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) formally inaugurated its newly constructed College of Medicine classrooms at the Gen. Tinio Campus on July 22, 2026.

Before the inauguration rites, a Holy Mass was celebrated and officiated by Rev. Fr. Carl John M. Taduran, Director of Campus Youth Ministry of the Diocese of Cabanatuan, invoking blessings for the new facility and its future occupants.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, Vice President for Research, Extension and Training Dr. Jean Guillasper, and Vice President for Administration, Business and Finance Atty. Bembol Castillo.

Also in attendance were Dean of the College of Medicine Dr. Edgardo Ortiz, Dra. Margarita Belinda Gamilla, Dr. Ma. Lourdes Quijano, Dr. Elenita Paet, Dr. Mario Abesamis Jr., along with faculty members, staff, students of the College of Medicine, and guests.

The event featured the ceremonial blessing and ribbon-cutting of the new academic facility, symbolizing the university’s continued investment in infrastructure that supports excellence in instruction and learning.

The newly inaugurated classrooms are equipped with modern instructional facilities designed to enhance the teaching and learning experience of medical students, providing an environment conducive to academic growth, collaboration, and innovation.

In her message, University President Dr. Jugo described the occasion as a simple yet deeply meaningful milestone for the College of Medicine.

Dr. Jugo acknowledged the long journey undertaken in establishing the program and emphasized that its realization came at the right time and place, guided by divine providence.
