As part of its preparations for the January 2027 ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) evaluation, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) conducted the second installment of its Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Review, Enhancement, and Evaluation Activity on July 21–22, 2026, at the Mini Convention Center of the Sumacab Campus, bringing together key academic leaders to strengthen documentation for four academic programs.

Organized by the university’s Local and International Accreditation Unit under the Quality Assurance Office, the activity forms part of Program ASPIRE (Achieving Sustainability, Performance, and International Recognition in Education), which seeks to enhance institutional quality and support NEUST’s internationalization efforts.

The two-day activity focused on addressing the findings and recommendations from the initial SAR review by further refining the reports, validating supporting evidence, and aligning them with AUN-QA criteria.

The workshop was facilitated by NEUST AUN-QA Focal Person Dr. Kim Edward Santos and brought together selected SAR writers from the College of Education (COED), the College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT), and the College of Nursing (CON).

Also in attendance were Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, Quality Assurance Director Dr. Analyn Gamit, CMBT Dean Dr. Sarah Alvarez, and members of the NEUST AUN-QA Core Group.

According to the Quality Assurance Office, the activity is intended to keep the university on track for the January 2027 AUN-QA evaluation by ensuring the timely completion and internal validation of required documentation and quality assurance evidence.

The second review builds on the initial SAR Review, Enhancement, and Evaluation Activity conducted on April 16–17, 2026, as NEUST continues its preparations for the international quality assurance assessment.
