The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office of the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), conducted an OWWA Scholarship Orientation on September 10, 2026, at the NEUST Mini Convention, Sumacab Campus.

The orientation, attended by students whose parents are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), featured Ms. Sally Samson, Family Welfare Officer of OWWA Region III, who discussed the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP), served as the resource speaker and discussed the qualifications, application requirements, and other relevant details of the OFW Dependent Scholarship Program (ODSP).

In her welcome remarks, OSAS Dean Dr. Ma. Lourdes Quijano emphasized that the scholarship opportunity provides both support and encouragement to students whose parents work abroad.

β€œAng OWWA scholarship orientation ay isang yakap at paalala mula sa ating pamahalaan at pamantasan na hindi kayo nag-iisa sa inyong paglalakbay,” Dr. Quijano said, encouraging the students to pursue their studies with determination and to make their parents’ sacrifices abroad meaningful through their achievements.

Meanwhile, Dr. Teodora Luz Mangahas, head of the Scholarship and Financial Assistance Office, encouraged the participants to visit the office for further assistance and inquiries regarding the OWWA scholarship application process.

This activity reflects NEUST’s continuing commitment to expanding access to scholarship opportunities and supporting students in achieving their educational goals.
