The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through its Research Publication Center (RPC), held an in-person training session on Scopus AI and Jenni AI on September 23, 2026, at the College of Nursing Audio-Visual Room, General Tinio Street Campus, Cabanatuan City. 

The training aimed to strengthen the University’s research and publication initiatives by maximizing its Scopus subscription and introducing AI-assisted tools that can support academic writing, scholarly literature exploration, and research discovery.

In her welcome remarks, Dr. Jean N. Guillasper, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training, emphasized the importance of equipping researchers with access to scholarly databases, digital research platforms, and emerging technologies.

Dr. Guillasper encouraged participants to take part in the training and apply what they learned to their research and publication work, supporting the University’s goal of increasing its Scopus-indexed publications. 

The sessions were facilitated by Mr. John Rey Aquino and Ms. Kristy Corpuz, Customer Success Officers of CE-Logic, Inc. Mr. Aquino led the session on Jenni AI, demonstrating how AI-assisted tools can support academic writing, organization of ideas, and development of scholarly content while emphasizing responsible use, academic integrity, proper attribution, and researcher accountability. 

Ms. Corpuz, meanwhile, facilitated the technical session on the Scopus Dashboard and Scopus AI, introducing participants to their features and applications in scholarly literature discovery, research information retrieval, and exploration of research trends.

The session also demonstrated how Scopus AI can assist researchers in navigating scholarly information and identifying relevant literature more efficiently.

Beyond platform familiarization, the training provided participants with an opportunity to explore how AI-assisted tools can complement existing research practices and make aspects of academic writing and literature exploration more efficient.

It also highlighted the importance of maximizing the University’s Scopus subscription and available AI tools to support research productivity, scholarly visibility, and global engagement.
