The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology’s (NEUST) College of Engineering (COE) and College of Industrial Technology (CIT) welcomed representatives of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on September 21, 2026, for the inspection, tagging, and turnover of equipment procured through Higher Education Development Fund (HEDF) projects. 

Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, NEUST Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Ms. Myra Paz Manalo, CHEDRO III Chief Accountant, discussed the implementation and monitoring of major higher education development projects, particularly those supported through government funding.

During the visit, NEUST Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba and CHED Regional Office III Chief Accountant Ms. Myra Paz Manalo discussed the implementation and monitoring of the projects. Their discussion covered the assessment of project outcomes, including contributions to instruction, research, and graduate employability, as well as the effective use of resources.

They also emphasized continued coordination, proper documentation, equipment inspection, and the timely processing of project requirements.

Also present were COE Dean Engr. Jeric Aduna, PhD; CIT Dean Marcelo Bulalayao; and CHED-HEDF representatives Renz Arjay Alabado, Project Technical Staff I; Rommel Sumanting, Project Support Staff V; and Bernard Castillo, Project Support Staff V.
