The Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) conducted the Yamang Katauhan Alay sa Pamantasan (YAKAP) Program to orient newly hired teaching and non-teaching personnel on the university’s culture, policies, and relevant laws for compliance on September 28, 2026, at the NEUST Mini Convention Center, Sumacab Campus.

The orientation introduced the newly hired personnel to the university’s institutional culture and workplace practices while emphasizing their roles and responsibilities as members of the NEUST community.

University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo welcomed the 74 newly hired teaching and non-teaching personnel and emphasized that joining the university is not only an employment opportunity but also a commitment to public service, education, innovation, and community development.

Dr. Jugo highlighted human resources as the university’s greatest asset and expressed confidence that the new personnel would contribute to the university’s mission through professionalism, integrity, humility, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Dr. Feliciana Jacoba, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also welcomed the participants and thanked them for their commitment to serving the country and the university.

Dr. Jacoba traced the institution’s development from its early vocational beginnings to its establishment as the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, highlighting its long-standing commitment to education, skills development, manpower training, and public service.

The VPAA emphasized the importance of understanding NEUST’s identity, history, mission, and the communities it serves, particularly among new members of the university.

The program also featured discussions on relevant laws, rules, and regulations that guide government and university personnel in fulfilling their duties and maintaining compliance with established policies.

Through the YAKAP Program, the HRMO aims to support the proper integration of newly hired personnel into the university community and strengthen their understanding of the standards, values, and responsibilities expected of NEUST employees.
