In pursuit of continuous quality improvement, the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) commenced the Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) of two academic programs through an online opening conference today, October 26, 2026, in coordination with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP).

Over the next five days, the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Network System Technology of Sto. Domingo Campus and the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Service Management for Business Process Outsourcing of Sumacab Campus will undergo an initial assessment of their readiness for accreditation.

In her message, Dr. Analyn Gamit, Quality Assurance Director, emphasized the collective responsibility of the university community in sustaining quality education through continuous improvement and accountability.

โ€œThis PSV is about fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and shared responsibility in delivering quality education,โ€ she said.

University President Dr. Rhodora Jugo highlighted the opportunity for the university to assess its accomplishments and identify areas for further development, recognizing the dedication of its personnel in advancing the institutionโ€™s goals.

โ€œIt gives us a chance to look at what we have achieved and see how we can do better. Behind this undertaking are the hard work and dedication of our peopleโ€”kung walang yamang-tao, this would not be possible. Your efforts show how much we care about our university and the students we serve,โ€ she said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Joannie Galano, Overall Coordinator for AACCUP Local Accreditors, underscored the PSVโ€™s role in guiding and assisting the university in objectively assessing its academic programs.

โ€œThis reflects our commitment not only to meeting the accreditation requirements, but also to continuously enhancing the academic standards,โ€ she said.

The activity aims to identify existing strengths and areas for improvement before proceeding to the formal accreditation survey visit.

Closing the program, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Feliciana Jacoba expressed her pride in the universityโ€™s local accreditors and recognized their contributions to improving the quality of education offered by NEUST.

The results of the PSV are expected to guide the programs in addressing identified areas for improvement and preparing for the next stage of accreditation.

Through this undertaking, NEUST continues to uphold its commitment to quality assurance, institutional accountability, and the delivery of relevant and quality education to its students.
