The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) concluded the Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) of two academic programs on October 29, 2026, following a four-day assessment conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP).

The programs assessed were the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Network System Technology at Sto. Domingo Campus and the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Service Management for Business Process Outsourcing at Sumacab Campus.

Led by Dr. Joannie Galano, Overall Coordinator for AACCUP Local Accreditors, the assessment team presented its observations and recommendations following the evaluation.

Among the positive observations were the programs’ efforts to maintain relevant documentation, provide supporting evidence of their activities, and demonstrate initiatives aimed at delivering quality instruction and strengthening other academic functions.

The accreditors also identified areas for improvement, emphasizing the importance of systematic monitoring and follow-through mechanisms to ensure that the recommendations are properly addressed and sustained.

In response, Dr. Marlon Rufino, Director of NEUST Sto. Domingo Campus, and Dr. Sarah Alvarez, Dean of the College of Management and Business Technology (CMBT), expressed their appreciation for the accreditors’ constructive feedback. Both acknowledged the importance of addressing the identified areas for improvement and recognized the dedication of their respective faculty members, staff, and accreditation task forces throughout the preparation and conduct of the assessment.

Based on the PSV results, the BSBA major in Service Management for Business Process Outsourcing may apply for Level I accreditation within six months, while the BSIT major in Network System Technology may apply within one year.

The completion of the PSV marks another milestone in NEUST’s continuing pursuit of academic excellence through external assessment, strengthened quality assurance mechanisms, and sustained efforts to improve educational delivery and student outcomes.
