The Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), through the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Psychology Department, held a testimonial dinner honoring its newly registered psychometricians who passed the September 2026 Psychometricians Licensure Examination on November 5, 2026, at Nieto Hall, Sumacab Campus, with the theme “Honoring Excellence, Inspiring Resilience.”
The celebration recognized the achievements of the new psychometricians and the efforts of the students, faculty members, and academic community who contributed to the department’s performance in the licensure examination.
In her message, NEUST President Dr. Rhodora Jugo emphasized that the University’s responsibility extends beyond producing board examination passers, underscoring the importance of preparing graduates for professional practice and meaningful service to society.
“The responsibility of the university does not end with producing board passers alone. We must also prepare our students to become competent, responsible, and—the most important value—compassionate professionals who will make a difference in the lives of others,” Dr. Jugo stated.
The department’s achievement builds on its sustained 100% passing rate for the second consecutive year, both among first-time takers and overall examinees, alongside its continued production of national topnotchers.
In the September 2026 examination, NEUST was recognized as one of the top-performing schools nationwide in the category of institutions with 50 to 99 examinees, posting a perfect 100% passing rate.
Adding to this achievement, four NEUST examinees secured places among the country’s topnotchers. Juliecca Reine Daguioan Abrera ranked ninth with a rating of 92.60%, while Mizzy Joy Isabel Garcia Galicia, Sheina De Jesus Cabungcal, and Russel Joe Ferrer Oteda each secured tenth place with a rating of 92.40%.
Meanwhile, CAS Dean Dr. Mario Abesamis acknowledged the dedication and sacrifices behind the graduates’ achievement, emphasizing that the testimonial dinner celebrated not only their examination results but also the journey that led to their success.
“Today is a special day because we are gathered here to celebrate not just the examination results, but a journey filled with hard work, sacrifices, sleepless nights, prayer, and determination,” Dr. Abesamis said.
The testimonial dinner concluded with a celebration of the newly registered psychometricians’ accomplishments and the department’s continued pursuit of academic excellence. It also reaffirmed NEUST’s commitment to producing competent, ethical, and compassionate professionals equipped to serve their communities and contribute meaningfully to society.
